Its product portfolio is ever-increasing and currently manufactures over 100 products ranging from tablets and capsules to sachets and liquid dosage forms.

A bit of history

Quest is a part of the UK-based Quest Nutra Pharma Group, a conglomerate dedicated to innovation, quality and technology advancements to deliver the best-in-class products and health solutions for the agricultural, food, natural health and pharmaceutical industries.

The group started its journey in 1982 in the UK and established a respected and leading brand of nutritional supplements in just 10 years of operation.

In 2005, Quest’s management decided to expand their business operations in the emerging markets of the Middle East, Africa and Asia and were looking for the right location. Quest’s quest for a highly efficient and well-structured location that provided global connectivity and supported their operational environment led them to discover the Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza).

Once Quest’s new factory in Jafza was fully operational in 2007, the first rollout of the Jafza manufactured batches of nutritional and pharmaceutical products accelerated the company’s growth trajectory and there was no turning back. Quest posted 4-fold growth numbers in both volume and product portfolio. With strategic partnerships across the globe, Quest as a brand along with third-party brands sell its products manufactured in Jafza in more than 40 countries at present.

Quest has built a strong relationship with Jafza over the years. The company prides on being based out of the world’s leading logistics facility that provides them with multimodal connectivity via the Jebel Ali port and import/export airports such as Al Maktoum International Airport.

International credibility coupled with Jafza’s reputation and presence in local and global markets, helped Quest to develop its business within targeted regions such as the Middle East, Asia-Pacific and Europe.

The “Free Zone” status is of particular importance to the company as most raw materials are imported and 70% of the manufactured goods are exported to countries around the world.

When it came to growth initiatives, finding solutions to problems and liaising on behalf of Quest with government bodies such as the Ministry of Health, Dubai Customs and DEWA, Jafza’s service teams aided at every step for a seamless experience.

Quest is recognised as the only probiotic manufacturing facility in the region with highly unique products developed by a dedicated in-house R&D team.

Internationally recognised “GMP” pharmaceutical standards are complied with at Quest’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. This pharmaceutical GMP accreditation has been received by Quest from the UAE Ministry of Health, European Union and 10 additional countries, confirming the highest quality standards maintained in all its manufacturing facilities, including in Jafza.
